Jurien Bay Galaxy

The Jurien Bay Galaxy infinity mirror, named for an area off the coast of Australia where leafy seadragons reside, focuses on the comparable mysteries of outer space and the sea.  Included in the landscape are leafy seadragons and octopus flowers made from dried flowers, metal, and clay that create a reef at the edge of the world.  5,000 crystal beads are used in conjunction with two parallel facing mirrors to create repeating reflections that give the impression of millions of stars or sea bubbles pointing to the similarly alien and vastly unknown contents of the Earth’s oceans and deep space.

Available at Jean de Merry in Los Angeles, CA and  Coup D'Etat in San Francisco, CA
